Forum Update
« on: November 22, 2015, 15:50:57 »

Hi all,

I've updated the forum to the latest version of SMF. If you find any issues, let me know. Everything went smoothly so I don't think there should be any issues.

I've also manually fixed something in one of the script files that was causing weird script errors in IE when trying to write posts.

Regards,
Tom.

Hi All,

I've just updated the AstroEQ website to use HTTPS. Hopefully all links should now be going to HTTPS addresses and you should not get any certificate errors.

If you find a link that is still going to http:// rather than https:// let me know and I will fix it.

Also if you see any SSL certificate errors let me know.

At the moment you may see on the forum that some pages don't have the padlock icon. There seem to be some images (possibly avatars) that are not coming through HTTPS links which I am currently working on trying to fix. Ok, this is fixed now. If you find any part of the forum which doesn't show the padlock icon, let me know.

Kind Regards,
Tom.

Hi,

I've attempted to fix an issue with the forum where error messages seem to occasionally appear. (e.g. when marking all forums read, or when logging in/out).

As a result of the fix, you may see an error message saying you can't log in because of cookies. If you see that, you need to clear your cookies for the AstroEQ website and try again - it should work fine after that.

Let me know if you are still having any issues. (If you are having issues logging it, you can get in touch via the contact us page on the main site).

Thanks,
Tom.

Hi,

I've upgraded the forum to SMF V2.0.12 which contains a few minor fixes. I don't anticipate any problems to occur as a result of the upgrade, but as always if you notice something not working, please post here and let me know.

Kind Regards,
Tom.

Hi,

Due to an update to the forum configuration, you may see an error message from the forum about an issue with the site cookies when you try to log in. If you see this message, all you need to do is clear the cookies for the AstroEQ website.

Apologies for any inconvenience.

Kind Regards

Hi,

I've upgraded the forum to SMF V2.0.14 which contains a few minor fixes.

Apologies for the issues that were caused for a few minutes with the quick login form, there were some changes to how SMF handles sessions which I needed to manually make to the customised theme template this forum uses. The problem should now be resolved.

I don't anticipate any problems to occur as a result of the upgrade, but as always if you notice something not working, please post here and let me know.

Kind Regards,
Tom.
