AstroEQ Support / Star Tracker
« on: January 14, 2021, 18:42:14 »
Hello Tom, and I hope all is well with you!

Can I use an astroEQ to control this tracker?

The screw has a pitch of 1mm with a stepper motor of 1.8 °! how to do for the ratio?

With a TB6600 driver I can run at 16 micro steps maximum!

I just need the right sidereal speed.

Thank you so much,

AstroEQ Support / frequency signal

Hello Tom,

I hope all is well on your side !!

What is the frequency of the sidereal tracking signal on the clock inputs of drivers in 16 microstep mode for example?

thank you so much

DIY AstroEQ / mega pro mini

Hello Tom,

In anticipation of making a small stars tracker and to save a lot of space I thought of this ProMini card, could the program work with it?

Of course it will be necessary to add a USB / TTL converter.

Thank you

I found great Sanken drivers, and very reliable, ok they go up to 16 microsteps and we can go up to 3A depending on the integrated circuit that we choose, I think that is more than enough!

The wiring is very simple around these integrated circuits, and they don't take up much space!

You just have to modify the microstep controls, but I don't know how to do that! is it easy?

Tom, I think it's time to switch to a great AstroEq! hihihi!

Good night

AstroEQ Support / AstroEQ PCB
« on: February 13, 2020, 16:14:25 »

I can have V4.5 version PCBs, what is the difference with V4.6 version?

Is it the same program?

I don't see the bridges for the drivers on the card, so we can only use 8825 and 4988?

Thank you so much,

AstroEQ Support / USB TLL adapter
« on: February 12, 2020, 16:48:13 »

If I want to mount a USB TLL adapter on the Atmega162 should I keep the resistors R15 and R16 in series in RX TX ??

How to connect the reset on pin 6, should you keep R1 and C9 and put a push button?

The reset goes to Pic 18F14K50, how to have this reset connection with a USB TLL adapter, or is it not important?

thank you so much

DIY AstroEQ / Drivers TB6600
« on: February 01, 2020, 22:57:48 »

I have an idea Tom !!!!

As you can see, the TB6600 can work in several microstep modes, if we disuse the micro switches, we normally have access to the logic inputs, but obviously it does not correspond to the 8825 drivers!

Would it be possible to modify the AstroEQ program to use the TB6600 truth table!

It would be enough to solder a few wires in place of the micro switches, and I think we would have more driver problems, and we could install more powerful motors!

The other order entries are all obviously there!

thank you,

AstroEQ Support / Bootloader Atmega 162
« on: January 15, 2020, 18:07:05 »

In parallel with the arduino mega 2560 I will try to program an Atmega 162!

I saw on Github that you had to load optiboot_atmega162.hex, but when I open it I see lines in exadecimal, should we just copy paste these lines in the arduino IDE to transfer the AVR programmer?

Thank you very much !

AstroEQ Support / Astroeq with Arduino mega 2560
« on: January 12, 2020, 12:49:47 »

First, I wanted to thank Tom again for registering on the forum!

What exactly is the program I need to download in arduino IDE for mega 2560?

I have found a lot of files, is it the file << firmware astroeq file INO >>?

Does the mega 2560 have to be connected to the computer before downloading it?

Excuse me for the translation but I am French and I will do my best to be understood by the community!

thank you so much
